Hallo my good people, I hope you are keeping warm in this weather. I am currently on leave so the morning cold is not my portion this month ;) unless I have an appointment whose timing I was not consulted. Anyhow, we decided to have a quick weekend getaway to Olpejeta this past weekend. Continue Reading
Happy new year to you all. How is 2018 taking you? Mine is good so far, I am already back to work (I never left any way) and the grind is slowly picking up. Word has it that I have added some flesh after those few days of stuffing myself with everything edible. Never mind that the weight has not changed :( Let's see what the new year has in store. Resolutions Continue Reading
I do love my red wine, but I did not know how much until I did a wardrobe clean out. The realization was that I have a fair share of outfits in the red wine color (this includes shoes!). That's how you know true love guys.To myself I promised to reduce on the same, but as the saying goes, true love cannot be denied where it exists :) Continue Reading
So I made a getaway to Samburu last weekend. One long drive but so so much worth it. As usual it was work related and our stay/assignment was at Saruni Samburu: a luxury lodge built on top of one of the many rocky hills in Kalama conservancy. This gives spectacular views from the top and allows some cool breeze through the hot Samburu air. We arrived quite late and booked into our villa. Due to the hot weather, the tents were left open with only a netting (more like a mosquito net) between the wild outside and us. I could clearly see any movements on the outside but i guess the wildlife had a better view due to the lights on our side. Perfect wild getaway. Continue Reading
Hallo Profashionals, How was your Easter? Mine was an amazing experience full of fun road trips and glorious moments with friends and family. For now, allow me to take you back one week prior when I had a weekend getaway at Amboseli. Hidden in the dry Kenyan South is a luxurious safari lodge, Tawi Lodge.
A lodge built with all its facilities facing the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro; from the rooms to the dining area, to the bar and the swimming pool, the amazing view of the mountain lingers. Even the bathroom has a window facing the mountain! Waking up to the beautiful snowy view atop the mountain reminded me of my high school days at the foots of Mt. Kenya. Continue Reading
Tucked away in the largest park in East Africa is a tented camp offering the perfect natural environment integration. It is not fenced thus you will see animals cross every once in a while. As usual my kinda place to be. Imagine this; you are relaxing at the pool and then a herd of zebras run past. What comes to your mind? Continue Reading
Imagine spending a night by the banks of River Mara. Having to see crocodiles and hippos everytime you peep through your tent window. And dining with thee animal as they put up a spectacular basking and splashing show. Thrilling right? You do not have to imagine further, you can have first hand experience at Olonana Sanctuary Mara, Continue Reading
