What do you do when your work mood takes a wrong turn. This has been my case for the last one week that I have made attempts at this post. I am still feeling ish ish but working on it everyday. Let me try and explain this feeling; have you ever been to an exam room then there is this one question that you are so sure you know the answer to but you can’t quite get it. That moment when you visualize the exact page where your assumed answer should be, you can even see the diagrams on the previous and following pages but you just can not figure out the content on this particular page. The same darn page where your answer lies!
So there you have it, the frustrating feeling I have been having. And this has affected my overall work mood; super moody I almost put a tread carefully disclaimer on my forehead.
How have I been dealing with it. I have indulged in unnecessary shopping and bought more bright colored outfits than my wardrobe can handle; the shades of yellow I got are more than enough. This was to add on my collection since I have been wearing bright colors to work. I believe that bright colours have the same effect when it comes to the work mood or at least the brightness masks the foul mood from other people.
Talking to colleagues. I have amazing workmates who will not let anything dull the moment. Lunch breaks are filled with super humorous stories. No matter how moody, down or even angry you feel, the humour in that house will crack you up. I always look forward to this break. How I love you guys.Kisses
Cutting down on caffeine. Any one who knows me can tell you that I am a great coffee
drinker guzzler. I have moved from this habit to drinking lemon tea in the morning and lots of water during the day. Some how my head feels lighter. On this note I have tried to reduce my workload and relax a little more. The thing is I tend to overwork myself to an extent of getting a break down; my mind goes totally blank and the body feels alien. I fill up the mind with coffee and the body has no option but to comply. This has improved greatly.
These are a few things that seem to be working for me, and I am ready to try out new stuff to keep my jovial mood all day everyday. So let me know on the comment box how you deal with your down work mood moments especially at work where you need to put up a straight face even when you do not want to. And for you my readers who might be looking for a job, I have recently added a list of current jobs at the side bar. Feel free to browse and apply. For now enjoy this bright outfit that I wore one of those days….
