A little part of my life was spent at the coast while growing up, south coast to be precise. I was quite young so I mostly depend on photos and my sister’s recollection of things to feed my memory. One thing I can not forget though is the swimming classes that dad gave us. I must admit I (we) never really looked forward to those moments; salty water in my tiny eyes and nostrils, not my cup of tea! It was more of a teary running nose affair.
The only consolation was that at some point in the lesson, he would carry me on his back as he swum and I would flap my hands pretending to be in control. To cut the story short I (we) never learnt how to swim 🙂
Slowly by slowly I taught myself to as a grown up and I must admit I have had so much fun with the waters: in the ocean, pool, lake you name it and I am in for a swim. So when I got to Medina Palms and saw the pools, I could not resist. The initial plan was to try new things like snorkeling and visits to Mida Creek and snake farm, but once I took the dip….well you all know how that went. I swum, then ate, swum again and ate again then went to the plunge pool to relax with a cold drink in hand; one that they call mida breeze. You should try it while you are there. It is a classic mix of several ingredients that I cannot recall, topped with grapes, a slice or two of apple and orange fruits. I loved. For the food, my favorite must be the canjun chicken salad, the catch of the day and the passion icecream scoop!! Just thinking about it makes me hungry. Their meals are on a la carte basis so you can eat whatever pleases your taste buds! how about that?
Enjoy the photos and as always leave a comment and do not forget to catch me on my next adventure by subscribing here and  following on my social media platforms.
