January is here! (sorry to sound too harsh after the festivities) and going back to work (at least physically for this first week) never felt more ish ish. How about the heat that comes with this month? It is perfect for barbecue weekends and pool parties but come Monday, your every day work wear feels too much to handle. Sun dresses and shorts are not an option, so what to do???? Wear an A line dress for one 🙂
A fitting A line dress is a keeper in this kind of weather. I like how it flatters the body shape while at the same time allowing some breeze through 😉 Make sure to get one in the right fabric. I mean you do not want to generate static electricity every time you stand from your seat as you try to (un) cling your dress from the body, do you? I found my perfect versatile A line dress: it can be worn to the office, for brunch, to a wedding…you name it.
This A line dress was gifted to me two years ago. The very first time I was to wear it, it got burnt while ironing. One big round hole strategically behind. I actually mourned and shed a tear every time I saw it dangling there in my wardrobe never to be worn. I tried several tailors but they were afraid to even touch it due to my strict instructions. I finally got a tailor who adjusted and readjusted it to a good fit. It is not as flare as it was but I am happy I get to wear it. I paired it with this laced up tan wedges from ShoestruckKe for a chic and comfortable look. Not forgetting the hat to keep the sun’s rays at bay. Happy new year!!
