Happy new month dearies! I hope the past month treated you well and November will do even better. I can not wait to see what unfolds. To start with, this shoot got me going all bananas (literally) and couldn’t wait to share the outcome with you. Have you ever bought something, tried it once or twice never liked it, but then several years down the line you rediscover and love it 100 times more?
This dress is that item. The first time I wore it was a disaster but I thought I rocked. The second time was here and a good friend Valerie Nyamwaya, creative director of Afrivazi challenged me to do better. I have since rediscovered the dress and it has not sat in the closet ever. If I am running errands, slip in it and some ngomas and I am good to go. If I am too lazy to iron (which I always am) this dress never disappoints.
Do not let the colour or the knits deceive you into thinking how unsuitable it is for the hot weather. I love the fact that it is knit, a great fashion come back, which makes it hug the body just enough to feel the warmth. It is quite loose fitting too and short, thus enough breathing space for the skin. What else could a girl ask for? Perhaps just this pair of gold shiny canvas to complete the pearly details on the dress! And some bananas too huh! I do love bananas; boiled, fried, roasted, crisped, salad, sandwich, hell I would even take sun dried ones. You can imagine the excitement when we came a cross all these during the shoot!
Do have a lovely week ahead, and eat some bananas, will you? they are good for your health. Apart from that, did you know you can use a banana peel to stop a scratched DVD or CD from skipping? Yes, rubbing the peel on it can fill the scratches without damaging the plastic finish. Well, now you have a healthy useful snack for your movie time 🙂 And for that i expect a banana thank you.
Enjoy!!
