The streets of Nairobi early in the morning or on a Sunday night can not be compared to a usual work daytime where one misses being knocked down by a motorist and lands un-apologetically and with all their mud on your just polished shoes, worse if they are white 🙁 There are nights, the streets are deserted with occasional speeding motorists heading home to finish up on the sleep backlog before Monday hits. The street lights give a spectacular illumination to the skyscrapers. I especially love the street lights along Thika road, it is artistically amazing.
The artistic view is what this post sort. Who could have imagined an old door at the city market would be such a great backdrop? I wore this little black knit dress from Gikomba, bought a few years back, and paired it with bright pink to illuminate in the light. I loved the way the bead and crystal detail on the dress reflected the light and shone. Knits are classics; their porous nature keeps you cool during the day and you get to appreciate the woolen warmth when it becomes chilly. You are assured of comfort and style as you mind your business. In this confused weather, a knitted outfit would come in handy.
