Today’s life is complicated, driven by many uncertainties, unknowns that we are all tired of. We need patience to survive them. Patience is termed as a heavenly virtue that brings with it happiness.
It is some kind of wisdom that we all need. I think it would be fair to say that, every pasing day brings with it more frustrations; in the work place, with the government maybe, and the many arising societal issues. Everyday acts as a test of our patience, quitting is not an option. We have to grind even harder and endure if at all we want to attain our desired results and development.
Take an example of sports lovers, their fans can attest that sports is the true definition of hard work, perseverance and patience. No matter how talented they are, they have to give it their all to reach the pinnacle of their sport. The results are unpredicatable, but still they sweat it out. After losing they dust themselves and train harder for the next season.
For this post I wore a jumpsuit, yes I am still on the hunt and I must admit there is a whole lot lined up. The shoot was done in the CBD; I need not tell you the hustle of doing a shoot in the middle of this town, Nairobi. Just like sports, blogging or any other career, I have come to learn requires loads of patience. Sometimes we tend to compare our beginnings to someone else’s middle thus making it very hard to be patient in whatever we do. We forget the effort and work they had to put for the several years they have been ahead of us. We look at the results rather than the path. Naturally, there are days of frustration and impatience but no matter what you are doing, be it losing weight, learning a new skill, dealing with coworkers, keep the word patience in mind. Have the spirit to move on, celebrate your little milestones, make new connections, and you will get there ultimately.
Randy Johnson says
“Work hard and have patience, because no matter who you are, you are going to get hurt in your career and you have to be patient to get through injuries.”
Enjoy and as always remember to stay profashional
