I trust you have all returned to work by now and you are supercharged to make a difference this year. I have seen my everybody streaming in one by one everyday from their leaves/vacations looking so fresh and booming with energy, from the hefty “happy new year greetings” to the enthusiasm in performing their tasks. I hope the spirit continues all year through
. I did not get to go on leave but dont get me wrong I am equally energized, and more than excited about the opportunities waiting to be explored in this year, including the leave 🙂 I hope that with your continued support we will have unending fun here as we try out new things in the world of fashion and life in general.
That aside, let’s talk African. We have to agree that everything Africa is amazingly beautiful: the people, rich cultures, the tropical climate, the wildlife, sceneries, not forgetting the food 🙂 When all this is topped with the continent’s sense of style, then it is definitely the place to be. To show case this, I had the pleasure to wear this great piece by Wangari Mathenge, visit her page here for more insights. What I love about this small number is its versatility. You can wear it as a dress for high end fashion or a skirt for a relaxed weekend look (I will share the pictures in the next post). It could also come in handy as a poncho during those chilly days.
I added an edgy tweak to the look by pairing it with some metallic and leather and fringe detailed heels, a matching head band and watch. The best thing about putting some edge on an outfit is that it accentuates the feminity of the wearer. I will leave you to be the judges, And as you do so, kindly nominate my blog for the upcoming BAKE awards.
