You have a presentation tomorrow? Don’t stress. Do not take those stressful thoughts to bed. “There is so much work! The week is crazy! That presentation tomorrow is going to be terrible!” Do not let negative thoughts spoil your overall week. Being stressed will only deprive you of sleep and make it difficult to prepare for that meeting. Just relax, take a deeeeep breath and have it in your mind that you will have it okay in the morning. In making that meeting a success have the following in mind:
They matter at work, as well as when you are out and about. If you are meeting various industry professionals face-to-face for the first time, better put your best foot forward and be confident as the first impression really matters! You might have established a solid rapport over emails and numerous phone calls, but this could change instantly if you do not add up to the expectations by dressing the part and doing a great presentation.
However good you are at what you do, however useful your presentation might be, always remember that most people are there to network and exchange cards for future business. So dress sharply and“look like a business card worth having.”
So by looking good you’re not just looking like a more valuable contact — you’re proving that you are a better businessperson than someone who didn’t care to bother.
The next time you have a conference meeting, don’t stress, just suit up! In this post I wore a navy blue suit, and brightened it up with a cream shirt.
Thank you for reading.
Keep being fashionable 🙂
